Cyrils Drive area temporary water treatment change

Beginning August 17, Toho Water (Toho) will temporarily switch the disinfectant in the public water system serving the Cyrils Drive area from chloramines to free chlorine for routine maintenance of water quality in the distribution system. 

Update: The Oaks reclaimed irrigation disruption

08.07.26 - Service has been restored to residential customers in The Oaks community. The line break has been isolated to be repaired by the respective owner.

08.06.26 - The reclaimed irrigation service to The Oaks community has been turned off due to a line break in the area. Service is expected to be restored tomorrow once the repairs have been completed.  

Reopened: Northbound and southbound lane closures on Pleasant Hill Road

8.5.26 @ 4:47 p.m. - Maintenance has been completed. All lanes have reopened.

Single lane closures of the outside southbound and outside northbound lanes on Pleasant Hill Road in Poinciana are in effect near the intersection of S. Poinciana Blvd (please see maps below). The lane closures are necessary to conduct maintenance in the area.

A timeline for work completion has yet to be determined. Schedules could vary according to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

Hoagland Blvd. Drinking Water Pipe Extension

Upgrading Water Infrastructure Along Hoagland Blvd.

Toho Water Authority is expanding the drinking water network along Hoagland Blvd., extending from U.S. 17 to Old Tampa Hwy. This project will deliver an additional 1.29 million gallons of clean, reliable drinking water per day to the Poinciana community, supporting current residents and preparing for future growth. This is enough delicious water delivered every day to equal an additional year's worth needed for 44 homes!

Harmony area conclusion of temporary treatment change

Beginning Monday, August 10, 2026, Toho Water Authority (Toho) will return to using chloramines as the disinfectant used in the Harmony area public water system. This process takes approximately 5 to 7 days concluding the routine maintenance of using free chlorine as a disinfectant in the distribution system.

S. Poinciana Blvd. New Drinking Water Pipes

Investing in Safe, Reliable Water for Our Community

As part of the Cypress Lake Water Wheeling Infrastructure Project, Toho is installing new drinking water pipes along South Poinciana Blvd., from Crescent Lakes Way to Orange Blossom Trail (OBT). This improvement will expand our network capacity and ensure a steady, reliable supply of clean, fresh drinking water for homes and businesses in the area.

Lifted: Poinciana area precautionary boil water advisory

8.2.26 - The advisory has been lifted. Customers are no longer advised to boil their water prior to consumption. Water filters do not need to be cleaned or replaced.

7.30.26 @ 6:50 p.m. - Repairs have been completed. The precautionary boil water advisory is in effect.
