Camelot facility project near Sherwood Forest

Starting February 4, 2024, Toho Water Authority (Toho) will begin a rehabilitation project at its Camelot Water Reclamation Facility (please see map below). The project will improve the facility’s efficiency. The work will mainly occur on week days between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. All work will occur on Toho property.

Lake Hatchineha Rd sewer lift station

Toho Water Authority (Toho) is announcing that a sewer lift station in the Lake Hatchineha Rd and Perch St area has had a bypass sewer system installed to provide continuous sewer service to our customers. The bypass system was installed due to the lift station being struck by lightning causing it to stop functioning. Crews are in the process of cleaning the area. A timeline for the lift station repair is yet to be determined.

Osceola Park sewer rehabilitation project

Toho Water Authority (Toho) began a sewer rehabilitation project in the Kissimmee area northwest of Osceola Park Drive and John Young Parkway on January 26, 2023 (see map below). A timeline for the following work areas will be issued once they become available.

Mystic Dunes Odor Control System

Toho Water Authority (Toho) is currently designing a permanent, underground odor control system for the air release valves between the Mystic Dunes and Windsor Hills communities. This system will replace the temporary system recently installed. The project is expected to get underway in late spring 2023 and be completed by fall 2023. Schedules could vary according to weather and unforeseen circumstances.

Formosa Gardens & US 192

A sewer rehabilitation project in the Kissimmee area of Formosa Gardens Boulevard and W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (U.S. 192) got underway in mid-July 2022. The project is designed to upgrade the sewer facilities in the area.  The project is anticipated to be completed by March 2023. Schedules could vary according to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

Willow Bend sewer project

A portion of Crescent Lakes Way has been closed as Toho Water Authority (Toho) begins a sewer rehabilitation project at the intersection with Willow Bend Trail in Kissimmee. The project was prompted by soil settling in the right-of-way, causing a manhole and a small section of the sidewalk to sag several feet. Toho has retained a contractor to assess the situation and make the repairs.

Reaves Rd and Big Island bypass

Toho Water Authority (Toho) is announcing that to provide continuous sewer service, temporary bypass piping is expected to be installed along Reaves Rd and connect to a manhole on Big Island Dr on March 1 (please see map below). This is due to a sewer line coming out of an area sewer lift station needing repairs. The bypass piping will be set up inside the ditch along Reaves Rd to minimize impact on residents and the traveling public.
