Toho Water Authority along with its partners will use brackish water from the Lower Floridan Aquifer as an alternative water supply to meet future demands for the Central Florida region. When completed, the reverse osmosis water treatment facility will provide potable water for approximately 350,000 people daily in the Central Florida region.
The sewer rehabilitation project is expected to get underway in the summer of 2026 and be completed by December 2026. Design plans are currently under review and a grant application is being finalized. Schedules may change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
