Hydrant meter size and uses
- 3" meter
- Connects to a fire hydrant
- Typically used for new construction projects where a permanent meter is either not available, not necessary or doesn't meet job requirement
- Can be used on smaller scale projects (pool construction, pressure washing jobs, etc
Jumper meter size and uses
- 2" meter
- Typically used to establish a new water main
- These are not hooked up to a fire hydrant
- They 'jump' from an existing main to a new main in order to obtain FDEP clearance and conduct pressure tests, etc
Delivery, relocation and collection
Jumper meters
- Delivery – Once the deposit is paid, Toho will deliver the jumper meter in three business days to your requested location for you to install.
- Relocation – When moving the jumper meter to another location, please fill out the form on the portal to inform Toho that you’re moving the meter.
- Collection – When you want the jumper meter collected, put in a request on the portal and Toho will collect the jumper meter in three business days.
Hydrant meters
- Delivery – Once the deposit is paid, Toho will deliver the hydrant meter in three business days. to your requested location, install it and secure it.
- Relocation – If you wish to relocate the hydrant meter, please make a request on the portal and Toho will relocate it for you in three business days.
- Collection – When you want the hydrant meter collected, put in a request on the portal and Toho will collect the hydrant meter in three business days.
Meter reads
Submit your meter reads by the second business day of the month. Use the hydrant and jumper meter portal to do so. You will need to upload a picture showing a clear view of the meter read.
Late fees - If meter read information is not submitted by the second business of the month, there will be a $50 charge per meter. Failure to provide reads could also delay permanent meter installation requests.
