Reaves Rd and Big Island bypass

The sewer rehabilitation project is expected to get underway in the summer of 2026 and be completed by December 2026. Design plans are currently under review and a grant application is being finalized. Schedules may change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.

To provide continuous sewer service, temporary bypass piping is installed along Reaves Rd and connected to a manhole on Big Island Dr (please see map below). This bypasses the sewer line connected to an area sewer lift station that needs the repairs. The bypass piping is set up inside the ditch along Reaves Rd to minimize impact on residents and the traveling public.
