Marigold Avenue area sewer inspections

Toho will be conducting sewer inspections in the communities off Marigold Avenue between Koa Street and Laurel Avenue to identify any needed repairs in Toho's sewer system (please see map below).

Toho has contracted with USSI LLC to carry out the work. The project is scheduled to take place from November 8 through mid-December 2026. Most work will be carried out Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Schedules may change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.

The impacts of this work should have a minimal effect on residents and the traveling public.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching work areas, as workers, trucks and construction equipment may be present. There may be instances where flaggers will be in place directing traffic. See more information below.

What to expect

The work will involve smoke testing which is a safe preventative maintenance test that helps identify leaks, defects and stormwater inflows in Toho’s sewer system. Area residents will be notified with a door hanger before the smoke testing takes place.

Work will include lining manholes to seal them reducing infiltration into the sewer system.

Crews will also be conducting night monitoring of the sewer system. This monitoring is done when sewer flows are at their lowest to identify if further repairs are needed in the sewer infrastructure. This monitoring does not involve any smoke testing.
