Wyoming Avenue area planned service disruption and precautionary boil water advisory
Toho Water Authority (Toho) customers located in the following areas will experience a disruption of their water service starting at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 20:
- 115 - 209 14th Street
- 107 - 121 15th Street
- 81 - 207 16th Street
- 6 - 313 17th Street
- 1400 - 1618 Oregon Avenue
- 1400 - 1617 Wyoming Avenue
- 1400 - 1624 Delaware Avenue
This interruption of service is necessary to conduct water line repairs in the area. Service is expected to be restored by 4 p.m. Schedules could change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
Once service is restored a precautionary boil water advisory will go into effect until rescinded by Toho.
As a precautionary measure, customers are advised to boil their water for one minute prior to consumption (drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes). As an alternative bottled water may be used. Water used for laundry or bathing/showering does not need to be boiled.
Once service is restored, a two-day minimum of regulatory testing is required to make sure the water meets drinking water standards. An update will be provided by Wednesday, April 22.
