Construction activities are underway for the sewer rehabilitation project on Formosa Blvd. For everyone's safety, vehicles can only exit from Formosa Blvd. on to Formosa Gardens Blvd. (please see map). The anticipated project completion date remains February 2021. Schedules could vary according to weather and unforeseen circumstances. Updates on the project will be provided on this page.

Site preparation activities are underway in the area and the sewer rehabilitation project is expected to begin on Monday, September 28. For safety vehicles can only exit from Formosa Blvd. onto Formosa Gardens Blvd. The project is expected to be completed by February 2021. UPDATE - July 30, 2020
Project construction has been delayed due to the discovery of additional required work at the lift station. This has extended the scope of the project and its timeline. The assessment and design have been completed. The project is expected to be completed and the road reopened by February 2021.

UPDATE - March 27, 2020
Toho Water Authority is announcing the temporary lane closure on Formosa Blvd. between Formosa Gardens Blvd. and Drifting Lilly Loop / Lotus Ct. Traffic will only be able exit onto Formosa Gardens Blvd.
The closure is necessary to install a bypass pump for the sewer lift station and related safety equipment to allow evaluation and construction at the lift station. A timeframe for the road reopening to two-way traffic is being determined.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching these areas. Speed limits may be reduced in certain areas. Signage will be placed as needed to keep the traveling public informed of the project.

UPDATE - December 16, 2019
Toho Water Authority has reopened the section of Formosa Blvd. between Formosa Gardens Blvd. and Drifting Lilly Loop / Lotus Ct. to traffic. Sections of sidewalks near the lift station remain closed for safety.
The lift station rehabilitation progress is as follows:
Initial grouting operations for the lift station have been completed.
The lift station rehabilitation design has been completed.
The project is currently out to bid.
Rehabilitation of the lift station is expected to begin in February 2020 and be completed by the summer of 2020. Schedules could vary according to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
As the rehabilitation project gets underway, the section of Formosa Blvd. between Formosa Gardens Blvd. and Drifting Lilly Loop / Lotus Ct. is expected to close to thru-traffic for a period of time.

April 12, 2019 – Toho Water Authority is announcing the closure of Formosa Blvd. between Formosa Gardens Blvd. and Drifting Lilly Loop / Lotus Ct. (see map) The closure is necessary to conduct a sewer rehabilitation project on a lift station in the area.
Motorists can enter and exit Formosa Blvd. via Funie Steed Rd. Detours for pedestrians are also posted in the area.

The lift station is currently offline. Partial closure of Formosa Blvd. was necessary so bypass equipment could be installed to maintain sewer flow.
