Lane closure on Bass Road beginning the week of March 2 for sewer lift station rehabilitation project​

UPDATE - September 21, 2020

The project has been completed and the sewer lift station will be undergoing a testing phase to ensure it is operating optimally. After testing, project completion approval from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection will be requested. Once approved, area and road restoration will take place to close out the project. The expected completion is November 2020.​ Schedules could vary according to weather and unforeseen circumstances.​ ​


​​​Kissimmee, Fla., February 21, 2020 – Toho Water Authority (Toho) is announcing the temporary closure of the northbound lane on Bass Road between Gardenstone Court and Paradise Cove Court starting the week of March 2, 2020 (please see map​). The lane will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The closure is necessary to conduct a sewer lift station rehabilitation project in the area. Before the lane closure, preconstruction activities will be underway in the area beginning the week of February 24 ,2020.

The project is expected to be completed by September 2020. Schedules could vary according to weather and unforeseen circumstances.

Flag crews will be in place directing traffic during the lane closure hours. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching this area. Speed limits may be reduced. Signage will be placed as needed to keep the traveling public informed of the project.
