Toho Water Authority has in place an Environmental Management System (EMS) for the water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and lift stations.
WHAT IS AN EMS?
An EMS is a set of management processes and procedures that allow an organization to analyze, control, and reduce the environmental impact of its activities, products, and services and operate with greater efficiency and control.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
We have a responsibility to our community and customers to ensure that we are taking all of the necessary actions to identify and minimize any potential environmental impacts.
