Bruce R. Van Meter, Chairperson

Bruce R. Van Meter, Board Supervisor 5, is Chairperson. Mr. Van Meter was Chief Financial Officer of 20/20 Media Holdings, Inc. in charge of financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable and human resources. Mr. Van Meter graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree and brings 30 years of experience in the area of finance and human resources. Mr. Van Meter served as a City of Kissimmee Commissioner from 1980-88 and served as the City's Mayor from 1988-1990. He served from 1985 to 1987 as the founding Board Chairman of Kissimmee Utility Authority, which operates the City’s electric utility, and as Ex-officio Board Member/Mayor 1988-90. Mr. Van Meter has experience in customer service and financial accounting.

James W. Wells, Jr.
Vice Chairperson

Jim Wells, Vice Chairperson and Board Supervisor 3, a registered Professional Engineer in Florida, is employed with Heritage Engineering Consultants, LLC. Mr. Wells graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree and has worked extensively in the engineering field. Mr. Wells served as a City of Kissimmee Commissioner from 1983-1987 and currently serves on the Osceola County School Board Business Advisory Committee.

John E. Moody

John E. Moody is President of Osceola Engineering, Inc., an engineering firm with offices in Osceola County and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Florida. Mr. Moody graduated from University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He currently serves on the City of St. Cloud Historic Preservation Board, the First United Methodist Church of Kissimmee Building Board and as a Board Member of the University of Central Florida Golden Knights Club.

Robert J. Bornstein

Robert J. Bornstein has been a resident of the Solivita Community on the Polk/Osceola line since 2006. Prior to that he lived in Seminole County for six years. He has had residences in the south since moving from his native state of New York in 1995. At that time he retired from his position as a hospital C.E.O., after almost thirty years as a hospital executive. Mr. Bornstein has many years of experience in the business sector, while also serving in many volunteer positions for numerous community organizations, some on their Board of Directors.

Raul S. Banasco

Employed in the field of Juvenile/Corrections for over 23 years, Mr. Banasco has held various positions at four different regional settings throughout the state of Florida. Along with his extensive background in criminal justice, Mr. Banasco has chaired the Osceola County Library Board, served on the Board of Directors for the YMCA Achievers of Central Florida, and served as an Executive Board Member with the Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency State Board. He is a graduate of Iona College, New Rochelle, New York with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology/Criminal Justice and received his Executive Certification as a Public Manager and Masters in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida.
