Position:
Electrician
Full-Time

Location:
Maintenance

Requirements:

Observes equipment for proper operations during routine inspections.

Installs and programs remote telemetry, and installs new electrical and electronic equipment.

Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and some mechanical equipment and system components at the water and wastewater treatment plants and lift stations, including but not limited to valves, pumps, motors, electrical panels, and RTV units.

Provides safety information related to electrical and electronic equipment and attend safety meetings.

Prepares and maintains records of all equipment/system maintenance work.

Maintains electrical and telemetry inventory and orders parts and supplies as needed.

Works on an on-call emergency basis as needed.

Communicates maintenance activities and concerns to the supervisor and/or Chief Operator.

Requires a vocational diploma in electrical repair supplemented by three to five years of responsible experience in electrical maintenance and repair work in an industrial environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must possess a Journeyman Electrician license and a valid Florida Driver’s license.

Requirements:

General Statement of Job

Under occasional supervision, provides technical assistance and support in the maintenance of all Toho computer systems and applications. Performs related work as assigned.

 

Essential Functions:

Assists users with problems, projects, or changes.

 

Configures and installs network equipment.

 

Installs new/changing phones, phone equipment, software, etc.

 

Monitors and maintains network equipment, usage, storage, programs.

 

Plans and implements projects.

 

Sets up users, password, permissions for different programs and access.

 

Troubleshoots all aspects of data and voice network.

 

Upgrades hardware and software for servers, network equipment, etc.

 

Works on and with OS's and programs such as Windows, Cisco IOS, Call Manager, Unity, etc.

 

Works with other IT employees on problems.

 

Minimum Education and Training

Requires a vocational/technical diploma in computer technology / network technology supplemented by two to three years of network operations and support experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Certified in CISCO (CCNA or higher) and MSCE. Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida drivers license.
