Essential Job Functions:
Assists in the preparation of permit applications and associated reports, and complete portions of the private development permits applications with plant and appropriate information.
Reviews permit submissions and documents for compliance with department of environmental protection
standards.
Coordinates activities with plant operators and supervisors and responds to inquiries related to permits and reporting and department activities and procedures.
Completes and tracks permits required by regulatory agencies.
Reviews reports and analyses for accuracy and completeness.
Ensures required reporting is performed in a timely manner.
Minimum Education and Training
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering technology, science or other technical field supplemented by three to five years of related technical experience with drinking water and/or wastewater facilities, laboratory work or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be able to read and understand environmental regulations and guidance documents and must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Driver's license as required.
