Toho Water Authority named as one of the top 100 companies for working families

Toho Water Authority, the largest provider of water, wastewater and reclaimed water services in Osceola County, has been named as one of the Orlando Sentinel's 2008 list of the "Top 100 Companies for Working Families" in Central Florida. The award honors employers who provide outstanding benefits, work environment, communication and training for their employees.

To be chosen for the 15th annual Top 100 list, companies had to meet a strict set of guidelines determined by a panel of judges consisting of leaders in the human resources field. Some of the criteria judges reviewed for selecting honorees for the list included: health and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401K accounts, childcare, maternity/paternity leave, elder care programs, flextime, employee rewards, internal communications vehicles such as newsletters and Intranets, tuition reimbursement and training programs. Previous winners have included some of the leading employers in Central Florida.

“Toho Water Authority has established the Workforce as one of its five key Strategic Areas with a strategic goal of becoming an Employer of Choice to attract and retain the best qualified people to provide the highest level of service to our customers. Recognition as a Top 100 Company for Working Families for Central Florida tells us we are headed in the right direction.” said Brian Wheeler, executive director of Toho Water Authority.
